The house
Built in 1785, this newly renovated 5K sq ft 5 bdrm + 3 bath getaway combines historic colonial charm with modern finishes, chic decor, and resort-like amenities your entire group will enjoy.
Relax in the spacious 5-person hot tub, enjoy the turning leaves in October and November, get cozy by the two wood-burning fireplaces, roast marshmallows around the smokeless Solo Stove fire pit, prepare a bbq on the 4-burner stainless steel grill, play in the winter snow in our 9 acre wide open field, enjoy a workout in the fully equipped gym, or show off your skills in a game of ping pong, billiards, darts, poker, cornhole, or board games.
Inside awaits you with a spacious eat-in kitchen, custom coffee station (with starter coffee package included), bar cart and cocktail supplies, 10-person formal dining room, and living room with comfortable seating for all of your friends and family.
Other amenities include Sonos speakers throughout the house for the ultimate music listening experience, high-speed WIFI (1 Gig) and a private office for those who wish to WFH, a washer/dryer, hot tub/pool towels, and a big beautiful red barn which provides you with a 2 car garage.
The kitchen comes complete with spices and oils for your everyday cooking needs. Wake up to that fresh cup of coffee or espresso at the custom coffee station, and mix delicious evening cocktails with all the supplies you’ll need at the bar cart. This kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glassware, cutlery, baking items, cookware, a toaster oven, blender, dishwasher, stove/oven, and a full coffee/tea station with a drip machine and french press available. Fresh-ground local coffee from Monkey Joe’s is provided for all guests.
We welcome our guests with a bottle of wine from a favorite local vineyard, Millbrook Vineyard, as well as a 2-for-1 tasting pass for all guests staying at our house. :)
The dining room includes a formal wood table with seating up to 10 people + a high chair if needed.
All three bathrooms are newly renovated and come with body soap, shampoo, and conditioner from Public Goods as well as hair dryers and irons.
Main floor game room with bar-sized pool table, darts, flat screen Smart TV, poker chips, and Cards Against Humanity with a working fireplace. An enclosed room off of the living room has a ping pong table and looks out to the hot tub/fire pit area.
Located on the 2nd floor where the bedrooms are, we have a room with a desk for quiet WFH.
In the basement, we have a great home gym set up with an exercise bike, boxing punching bag, rower, dumbbell set bench, pull-up bar, and yoga mats!
An in-ground swimming pool (check availability May through September), a 5-person hot tub, a fire pit, and a grill are available for you to use. The pool can be heated up to 82 degrees for an additional daily charge. The heated pool opening date is typically May 15th and closing date is Sept 15th, but requests to adjust can be considered if weather permits. The pool includes lounge chairs, a big sun umbrella, a pool basketball and hoop, pool floaties, and a pool football. There is also a cornhole set.
There is a long driveway that can fit up to 10 cars. We also have a big red barn that can be used as a garage and has 2 parking spaces available. There also is a Tesla Supercharging station within a 10 min drive of the house.

The main front door has 5 steps leading up to it from the walkway. For those with accessibility challenges, there is an entrance from the patio through the kitchen with 1 step, and an entrance through the sun room off the patio with 1 step. All flooring is hard wood with area rugs in each room, and there is a first floor bedroom with 1st floor full bathroom with shower/tub across the hall from the bedroom.
One dog less than 60 lbs is allowed per stay with a $100 pet fee to cover additional cleaning.

We had a good stay at Brandon's house. Brandon was very welcoming, responsive, and accommodating throughout our stay. He kindly approved our request for an early check-in and responded promptly when we notified him about a dead mouse we found in the pool. The property is spacious and offers plenty of opportunities for both children and adults to relax, play, and have a great time. We especially appreciated the outdoor amenities. That said, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The floors are very noisy, which made it difficult for the person sleeping in the first-floor bedroom to rest when others were walking upstairs. The kitchen is quite dated, and much of the cookware and kitchen equipment could be updated. We were a group of seven, but there were not enough large bath towels for everyone. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but at nearly $1,000 per night, we felt the price was a bit high considering the condition of the house and the updates it could benefit from.

Our group of five couples had a wonderful time upstate at Brandon's place. Each room was large and comfortable enough for each couple, and there were plenty of amenities (ping pong / pool / darts / punching bag / hot tub) to keep us entertained even though the pool was closed for the season. Loved the propane grill and solo fire pit as well. Do note you'll need to get your own firewood! Hikes / walks / breweries / grocery shopping is all about 15 mins away. Check in and out was seamless. No big surprises on the check on requirements. We would stay here again!

This was the perfect location for our girls weekend getaway! This house has everything you need from the pool, to the hot tub, to the well supplied kitchen. This comfortably slept 10 adults across the 5 bedrooms. Easily accessible via train from NYC. Host was very responsive to our questions and needs before and during the trip. The house is expensive but if you spend a lot of time at it and use the pool and hot tub, it feels worth it overall. One note is that heating the pool is an additional charge (which we didn't know). This was our first time staying at LaGrange Farmhouse, and we loved every second of our brief stay at this charming home. Not only was this farmhouse pristinely maintained inside and outside, and well furnished with everything you'd need for overnight living, it was tastefully decorated and felt warm and inviting in every room. All 5 bedrooms were spacious and had surprisingly big closets and more than ample dresser space, and the beds were very comfortable across the board - something we rarely experience. All chairs in living and dining rooms were also very comfortable, which means we were able to relax and enjoy conversation easily. The Farmhouse has many inside forms of entertainment that are great for parents and kids no matter the weather. Brandon was fabulous to work with- very flexible to accommodate our unique needs, and consistently responsive within mere minutes. We didn't have to spend hours completing check-out tasks, either. We'll definitely be back! A true gem!

For what we paid, we expected more and were left unsatisfied with the host's lack of taking accountability. The house is nice, beds comfortable, AC powerful, kitchen large, and has a lot of potential. With more attention to detail from the host we would have had a nicer stay. The house was not clean upon arrival. There was coffee still in the coffee maker, outdoor trash bins were overflowing from the start, clear remnants of previous guests were still present (balloons around the house, items left on nightstands, floors clearly dusty). While minor individually, it made us question the cleanliness of the whole place and put a damper on things from the start. There were extra fees (for extra cleaning, no less, given we were bringing a dog) added within 5 days of the start of our trip and we had to pay additional to extend the early 10AM checkout time. There was a pest problem we were told about 10 minutes prior to checkin and a single TP roll in each bathroom. Hope your stay is better.

The furniture and accessories were high quality and beautiful. There was definitely a lot of thought put into the decor of the house. All the rooms were very spacious and the furniture was well laid out.
We are major coffee drinkers so the French press and ground coffee was well appreciated. The kitchen in general provided everything you needed -all of the accoutrements were high quality and plentiful and any utensil/appliance/kitchen tool that you could think of was there.
